As we all know, the ''big'' day is in three days time, and whilst some of you are stressing over what to get bae for Valentines day on Sunday, the rest of the population is either just chilling or sulking because they don't have anyone special to share the day with. It doesn't have to be that way though. Valentines day is more than just ''searching for bae'' it's about being able to show love and appreciation to those who mean a lot in your life, so why limit it to just one person? Be different this year, why not celebrate it with your friends, instead of sulking about how you don't have a significant other, enjoy the fact that you have many people in your life who've made it this far with you. V.Z xx In case you're one of those people who are keen for the idea of spending it with friends but don't know what to do, don't worry. Here's two examples of things you could do. First example you could plan a movie night with your friends, you all could watch some of your favourite movies or for a twist you guys could watch a scary movie. This first idea would be fun if you in University and stayed in Res. You all could squeeze into someone's room and watch movies on someone's laptop all together. Each person could contribute and bring an item like snacks or blankets and you all just enjoy the moment. Second example could be that you guys all go out for dinner, invite whoever you want and for the fun of it someone could book a table(just to feel special) and you all arrive dressed formal. If you're living that student life struggle though (ie running low on cash) maybe your friends and yourself could rummage through those barely stocked fridges and whip up something all together and enjoy a cooked meal. Another thing you could do, no matter where you are or who it's for is do something you know the other person has been dying to try out. Or maybe even get your favourite take out or food (or rather their favourite) and knock on their door with it as a surprise, they'll really feel special and that's always the best feeling. There's plenty of things one could do with friends, family or just someone special on Valentines Day, it's just about how you approach it. However, if you genuinely are a introvert then that's perfectly fine aswell. Enjoy yourselves this Sunday and Happy Valentines day everyone xx
