If I'm to be 100% honest, I would have to say that Cape Town is a beautiful city that tends to be underrated when it comes to December Vac. This year my family and I decided to spend our December Vacation in Cape Town. Now, our family generally has a history of visiting Cape Town to visit family, but this year was different for me, mainly because I got to really become a tourist and just explore Cape Town and all its glory. The weather was forever clear and sunny, the people forever friendly and beautiful and the wine was forever in excess and very tasty, while the food was forever divine and delicious! V.Z xx Now for those of you who have never been to Cape Town, or to those who go but never really know what to do, I decided to do a mini bucket list of places you HAVE to try out if you plan on going. These were all my personal favourites, no marketing was done for this post. It's just about places I feel deserved a little shoutout after my trip. Graff Estate has one of the most beautiful views and atmospheres I've ever experienced whilst doing wine tasting in Cape Town. They have a jewellery store (which will definitely leave more than just a hole in your wallet) a restaurant, and of course their wine tasting which ranges in price from R50 for three wines to R70 for five wines. It truly is at the top of my list of places I would definitely go back to! Hout Bay is another place I would definitely say one should visit at least once, especially if you're someone who likes learning about the history of a place since it's a very historical place. What makes this place even better though is that every Friday they have a night market which has locals and designers selling a range of things from clothes, bags, curios, music and of course food, lots and lots of food, ranging from savoury to sweet, as well as a live band. The Creamery Cafe...enough said. No, but honestly this place is amazing. Found in Newlands, it offers amazing waffles, with one of a kind toppings like crushed cookie dough and roasted marshmallow (as seen in the picture above). The unique ice cream flavours change weekly and range from salted caramel, blueberry cheesecake, choc mint, apricot and honey and many more. Don't be sad however if your favourite flavour isn't around when you visit, for they have tubs of other ice cream that customers can buy! Last but certainly not least, The Old Biscuit Mill. Now I must confess I never knew about this place before this December Vac and I'm mentally slapping myself for not knowing about it! This vibey market which takes place every Saturday and Sunday in Cape Town should be a definite YES on everyone's bucket list. It's mainly a food market with lots to offer, so I highly recommend going on an empty stomach, but a full wallet because when you see all that it has to offer you'll definitely want it all. With live performances here and there and good vibes, it's without doubt an awesome way to spend a sunny Cape Town afternoon :) xx *All pictures and designs on this page were created by Vimbai Zingoni and Lindi Wit.
