On New Years Eve, we decided to go hiking in Kloof at the Kranskloof Nature reserve with some friends of ours. Although the weather was insanely hot, (but I mean that is expected living in Durban) we pushed through and the reward was definitely worth it.
What I love about hiking is that it really pushes you, it's never just a straight path, you just really have to keep pushing and trying. The views along the way and at the top are never a disappointment and the thought of what the view could look like at a new destination really help me to stay focused on the goal of reaching the top.
For us, our goal was to find the waterfall, there's many different waterfalls in Kranskloof but the trail we decided to go on really surprised us with just how big it was. The waterfall was amazing and the water was just as cold and refreshing, oh and of course the pictures made it just that much more rewarding.
