Here's the thing...I've never been to a spa, I've never been pampered, and I've never done a facial before. So a couple of nights ago I decided to treat myself to a little TLC. How, you may ask? Oh, just by buying a deep cleansing purifying charcoal mask. My honest opinion? I LOVED IT! That says a lot coming from me, just by the way, because only a few things ever fully satisfy me. It did however, have it's shortcomings, but let me just explain to you why I enjoyed it so much. V.Z xx Here's my step by step process of how it all went down and my thoughts on each: Step One: Application So it's a small packet, but don't let it deceive you. They say one sachet per person, but honestly there was so much in the packet and at first I felt like I had to finish it, but it was just too much, so much that A) I put so much onto my face that it never fully dried (even after having it on for 30 minutes when it only said up to 15 minutes. B) There was so much that I even gave the extra to my mom who enjoyed a surprise facial. Step two: The wait... 13 Minutes in and wondering if this is some magic mask that will dry up in the last 2 remaining minutes. 25 minutes in and pretty content with the fact I put too much on and it's only just starting to dry...meh. Step Three: Rinse and final thoughts I decided to take a full on shower, hence the water droplets. Just to make sure I didn't mess up the sink because the charcoal mask is quite messy. Final thoughts? My face felt sooo smooth afterwards, the picture may not look it but honestly my face was glowing and much smoother afterwards. I decided to also ask my mom and she also said that it left her face feeling gentle and smooth, so overall it was a good buy, for only R18! Bonus step: Mattifying Cream So originally I was just meant to be reviewing the mask but my mom decided to also buy me a cream that helps with break outs, which ended up helping out a lot (Thanks mom!). It's matte so after applying it, it may feel as if you haven't, but don't worry that's how you know it's working ;)
Overall both products worked really well and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to splurge on themselves.
